At SheCodeAfrica, we aim to provide our community of women across Africa with the support they need in their different fields in tech. We do this via our different programs, groups, and by sharing knowledge through educational content.
We can’t do this on our own, so would you love to join us in supporting, inspiring, and providing resources for thousands of women across Africa?
By joining us, you’re helping a community of women across Africa excel and grow in their jobs, while getting guidance from professional technical writers, and improving your writing skills.
Apply to the program:
To be a guest writer, fill and submit the form indicating your interest. Your application will be reviewed by the SheCodeAfrica editorial team, and we’ll reach out you to discuss next steps.
Write:
You’re expected to prepare a first draft of your article on a Notion doc. Your article ideas can come from the list of approved topics. However, if you’d like to pitch a topic of your own, do so in your application.
Please also note that you can only publish original content, i.e. you can’t publish a previously article you’ve written.
Review:
Upon your acceptance into the program, you would be assigned an editor to guide you through writing your article. You’d be provided with feedback from the team, and it’d be expected that you implement the feedback before your article is published.
Publish:
Your article would be published on our blog and shared across our social media channels.
We’re looking for members of the SCA community, with demonstrated experience in their chosen field that are looking to improve and grow their technical writing skills.
If you have little or no experience in writing, with the guidance of our editors, you would be on the right path to becoming an amazing technical writer. However, it’s important to be open to accepting feedback from the team.
